Iron is one of the metals of greatest abundance in the planet, but unique in its characteristics, related to the weight and the resistance. Thanks to these properties and some others such as its ability to be cast, forged or magnetized, iron is also used for the realization of motors or for the manufacture of magnets, among others.
In addition, in the automotive industry, it is not only used for the manufacture of component parts of the engines, but also for other parts corresponding to the wiring and bearing of the vehicle. This is due to its characteristics corresponding to the conduction of electricity and resistance to high temperatures.
