- Inspire or motivate with them.
It contains more than 2000 quotations from 114 authors, including:

- And many more…
Then I leave you the first two points of the book ("Why I wrote it"and"Why you are interested in the sentences").
Why did I write this book?
I have always been very observant and, above all, since I started to study psychology I wondered what some people had that made them stand out.
Why do some people achieve such difficult accomplishments and others fall by the wayside or do not even try?
Why did some historical figures such as Nelson Mandela, Abraham Lincoln or Henry Ford achieve such difficult accomplishments?
And also on the scale of daily life. Why did some fellows have such high aspirations and had a promising future while others aspired to little and made poor results in college?
No doubt, from my observations and reading so many books, I have come to the conclusion that one really important aspect is the way of thinking of each person, which leads to the next point...

Why are you interested in the phrases of these authors?
It is evident that the achievements that a person gets depends heavily on uncontrollable factors such as luck or having had opportunities that other people have not had.
For example, Malcolm Gladwell Explains in his book Series off The opportunities that Bill Gates had to go that far. Gates was very talented, but if he had not been born in the 1950s and had not attended a private school in Lakeside, he probably would not have been able to build Microsoft.
On the other hand, The Beatles were invited to play Hamburg for an arbitrary reason. That invitation gave them the opportunity to play more than 8 hours a day for 7 nights a week, which allowed them to multiply the band's musical skills.
But what if Bill Gates or The Beatles had not had such opportunities? They probably would not have gotten this far.
The opportunities that these people had could not control them, are therefore uncontrollable factors. It is also necessary to add the place of birth of the person and the family in which they are raised.
What would have happened if Bill Gates had been born to a poor family who could not afford a private school with a computer terminal? What if the parents of The Beatles had been authoritarian and not allowed to rehearse? Obviously, they would not have had those opportunities.
Therefore, it is true that luck depends a lot on where you can get to or what you can get. However, not everything is luck, much less, and, in fact, luck can be sought. When there is equality of conditions, you can not make excuses of the type"I do not achieve anything because I have no luck".
What happens then on equal terms? What determines a person's success and another not when there is a level playing field? Between two brothers who are raised in the same family, why one of them succeeds and another does not?
Undoubtedly, one aspect of great importance is the way of thinking of each person and their philosophy of life:
- How you interpret your environment and events.
- The beliefs he has about himself and the world in general.
The vital events and environment are not as important as the interpretation that is made of them. If you have advantageous beliefs, you will be more likely to get positive results or be happy.
And those beliefs are transmitted by the phrases or speech of each person. Hundreds of people who made great achievements wrote books and gave speeches or interviews, and in all of them they transmitted their ideas, beliefs and philosophy of life.
You have already grasped the idea; The sentences of this book will shape you with the way of thinking of the great characters of history.
I have gathered over 100 dead authors living today, from Socrates through Walt Disney to Bill Gates. All are among the most influential in history and have demonstrated their talent, perseverance, attitude and positivity.
Take care of them, reflect on how they think, compare it with your beliefs and current life philosophy. It can be said that it is like having a manual with advice from the most successful people and with the most criteria that have existed.
For this, I have made it very easy; In the index, you just have to click on the author that interests you and the system will direct you to your sentences. I can guarantee you that often reading a single one can change your interpretation of a situation, give you encouragement, motivate or even give you ideas. You can use them for your daily motivation or inspiration, for your writing or even for teaching your children.
By the way, it is not enough to read or have a way of thinking to be successful, it is also necessary to act, to strive and to sacrifice.

How to correctly use positive affirmations
The positive statements were popularized by the French psychologist Emile Coué and lately many self-help gurus - abroad and in our country - have emerged urging their followers to use them as one of the techniques that work best.
These are motivational or self-improvement statements that affirm a positive quality about the same person or focus on the goals they want to achieve. They are mainly used to reduce stress, improve performance and produce physical, personal and economic changes.
For example:"I am thinning and I look attractive","I feel very good today", I am nice and kind to others.
There is some evidence that when people use these self-affirming phrases, they improve their personal resources, have more mental energy to complete activities, improve their resistance to frustration, and increase their coping skills.
However, this technique has its limitations and it is not enough to go down the street or stand in front of the mirror and say positive things about oneself. Particularly when the person feels that they are giving orders to themselves or are lies, it does not work.
When positive affirmations conflict with the personal image, that personal image is reinforced. For example, if a person who has low self-esteem says"I completely accept myself"and does not really believe it, the negative self-image is reinforced.
Therefore, you can benefit from this technique if you make the decision to use it and the statements are real and not lies that try to modify reality. In the event that you suffer from stress, low self-esteem or another psychological problem, you would have to address that problem earlier with an intervention in cognitive psychotherapy or mindfulness.
Cognitive psychotherapy is focused on being aware of the negative thoughts you have about yourself and changing them to more positive ones. Mindfulness is based on observing thoughts without being influenced by them, accepting problems and negative beliefs and not trying to change them, but focus on the positive.
Let us see, then, what is the form of writing or saying a positive affirmation:
-Wrong way:
Take the case of a person who, having spent a week eating at banquets and without any kind of diet, says:"I am thinning and slowly reach the weight I want."
That statement will not produce any long-term effect because it is not true and in fact, it will produce a rebound effect or discomfort in the person.
Another example: a person with low self-esteem and poor personal image who says,"I feel good about myself and I like myself." In this case it will not work either because the statement does not agree with your personal beliefs that are of a poor personal esteem.
-Right way:
In the first case, if the person wants to lose weight should first learn techniques of self-control and later could use self-affirmations according to reality as:
"Although I do not like my eating habits, I'm learning to improve them."
In the second case, the person would have to focus on improving his self-esteem and after that he could use sincere self-affirmations like:
"I do not like some aspects of myself but I slowly learn to accept them and learn to have confidence in myself."
And do you use phrases to inspire or motivate you? What do you think of them? I am interested in your opinion. Thanks!
