Communication is one of the most important processes carried out by human beings. Thanks to this one can explain the contents of the mind of each individual, making comprehension reach.
It is thanks to this feeling of understanding that people approach, sympathize and establish relationships. Communication is the basis of any operational organization: from a couple and a family, to a company or a society.
While the whole communication process is important, it is necessary to highlight the role of the information exchanged. Such information is not only transmitted from a sender to a receiver but is also analyzed by the receiver; in this way, the learning process is favored.

Communication is an essential element for the human being. This process is so immersed in societies that it is almost a reflection. That is, many times people communicate without stopping to think that they are carrying out the communicative act.
The following are the most important reasons for the importance of communication:
1- Information flow
Communication is a constant flow of information from one individual to another. This is of vital importance since, in this way, it is guaranteed that knowledge does not die with a person but is transmitted from generation to generation.
For example, the studies of Aristotle (Greek philosopher, 384-322 a.C.) have been communicated to the present generations through writing and translation.
In some cases the flow of information is unidirectional. This means that the sender transmits the ideas to one or more receivers. However, the receivers are not in the ability to respond to the sender.
This is the type of communication that is usually established with the mass media (newspaper, television, radio). It should be noted that, with technological advances, these media are working to be more interactive.
2- Learning
Learning is one of the effects of communication. This happens thanks to the flow of information. This element is relevant since, through this, societies can progress.
When the human being communicates acquires knowledge, either intentionally or passively. For example, in a classroom a process of communication between teacher and students is established. The exchange of information occurs and is learned intentionally.
A case of passive learning occurs when you are reading a novel and the author provides a true fact. In this way, knowledge has been acquired without being aware of it.
3- Development of human relations
Communication allows bridges between people, which favors the development of human relationships.
The exchange of ideas, knowledge and opinions that is generated during the communicative process allows people to better understand each other. From this it follows that communication is the basis for the development of societies.
In addition, once a relationship has been created, communication also helps to maintain it by creating cohesion among individuals.

On many occasions people are asked to explain the reasons why they act in a certain way or have some opinion. At the moment it is thanks to communication that the contents of thought can be exposed.

Efficient communication is one of the aspects necessary for the planning and organization of group activities. With the communicative process, people can come to agreements that allow them to perform certain tasks more easily and quickly.
For example, in a company communication between departments is essential so that the efforts of each of them can be coordinated. This maximizes the capacity and productivity of the organization.
6- Decision making
Decision-making is favored by the exchange of information produced during the communication.
When human beings put their ideas together they can know different facets of the same aspect. This information makes it easier to choose among the various options that can be presented to respond to the same problem.
7- Leadership Base
Efficient communication creates leaders. A person who is able to convey their opinion and make others understand it is in the capacity to become a leader.
In addition to this, communication creates relationships between leaders and their followers. It allows them to exchange ideas between them, so that the subordinates can advise the leader if necessary, or vice versa.
In this way the leader gains the trust of his followers, removes the barriers that could exist between them and favors the reach of the goals in common.

In addition to allowing the exchange of ideas, communication can be a source of motivation.
The most obvious example of this is the famous motivational talks that urge people to fulfill their dreams.
However, in our daily life, we can find everyday situations in which the importance of communication as a motivating element is revealed.
For example, when giving advice to a friend, when congratulating a person on his accomplishments or when telling someone to continue to work despite difficulties.
