Fauna of London, England

It is one of the greenest cities, representing more than 40% of its surface. Only 120 species of fish can be found on the River Thames. Central London has 60 types of birds, 47 species of butterflies, 1173 moths and more than 270 spiders.

Amphibians are common, including the common newt, frogs, toads, webbed tritons, crested newts. As for reptiles, you can find: the lucius, the viviparous lizard, the collared snake or the common European snake.

There are more than 10,000 foxes throughout the city, so statistically there are 16 foxes per square mile of town. Among the mammals that can be found in the city we have urchins, rats, mice, rabbits, shrews, field mice and squirrels.

In the green zones of London they inhabit hares, deer, badgers, topillos, mice lions, moles, shrews or ferrets, among others.
