10 Beliefs of Successful People

When we observe successful people we see their luxuries, the things they have achieved, how they dress or how they live. However, we do not look so much at their beliefs and in reality these are the basis of everything they have built.

As I commented in East Article, without believing that we can, we do not act and without acting we do not obtain any kind of results.

Most successful people have a number of beliefs in common and I am going to comment:

successful people

1. Failure is only a result

Many people view failure as definitive, as the end result of a process. However, failure can also be interpreted as a result, which is also totally necessary to learn and obtain better results in the future.

I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can not accept not to try -Michael Jordan.

2. Trust in themselves

At the beginning of their achievements, successful people do not have the confidence of others in their ideas. Therefore, they need to rely on themselves to persevere and resolve the problems that lie along the way. That confidence is what allows them to work constantly to achieve their goals.

Trust yourself, then you will know how to live -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

3. They believe more in work than in talent

The reality is that talent is not related to the success that you have throughout life. What influences more is perseverance, hard work or social skills. If you look at the richest people in the world, none of them has a remarkable intellect, even Bill Gates suspended at school. As for high level athletes, they all train for hours daily to stay in shape.

4. Create your opportunities

It is possible that someone successful had a great opportunity that changed his life, however he also had to be in that place, at that time and have done something to open that door.

However, most successful people believe in provoking their own opportunities and do so in a very simple way; Working and creating contacts.

5. Do not believe in luck

Related to the previous point. People who have achieved great achievements believe that the results they obtain depend on them and not on external conditions. This is called the locus of control; People with locus of internal control believe that what they get in life and what happens to them depends on their actions.

6. Give importance to implementation rather than ideas

Every day there are millions of good ideas throughout the world, but how many are implemented well?. An idea can be left in the air if it is not run properly and with a good team.

Thousands of successful international businesses are based on a simple idea although few people could execute it effectively; Facebook, linkedin, ebay...

7. Act

From the belief that you can, you act and then, you get results. If they are good, they will have achieved an achievement and if they are bad, it will be interpreted as a way to learn and continue to act. This is the most efficient way to interpret the facts, since it will be the only one that will lead to constancy to achieve objectives.

8. Surround yourself with a good team

The mediocre bosses prefer to stop the growth of their employees because they feel threatened with it. Successful people are surrounded by a good team, if they can smarter and more talented than the one because it is the one that will help you and will achieve your achievements.

9. Have goals

Without objectives the action is disorganized and does not aim at anything. Large companies throughout the world are managed by objectives, as are sports teams and their high level athletes. The most effective way to set goals is to set them short, medium and long term. Read this article if you are interested in it

10. Troubleshooting

When we encounter a problem we have two possible approaches: either we take it as something that can not be solved and that it supposes the end of the way or we interpret it as a simple obstacle to which it is necessary to look for a solution. People who achieve great achievements encounter many obstacles and problems in their path although they focus their attention on the solution and that way they find alternatives of action.
